About Us Gals

Laura Twiss & Tonia Weber collaborated in 2009 when they discovered not only did they share a common background in fashion but they shared a few goals, a desire to write stylish, well-crafted patterns that are straightforward to understand and easy to knit, to teach confidence in sewing, knitting, and felting, and to create a line of clothing suited for the stylish woman of today.

Twiss & Weber are experienced teachers in knitting, sewing, and felting.  They currently teach at Wabi Sabi, at the Ottawa School of Art, and at their studio on 177 Armstrong in Ottawa.

The lines in their knitting collection are true to their vision, sleek and simple, flattering for wearers of all shapes, sizes, and ages. And as an added bonus, many of the patterns such as Ballet Wrap that can be worn in variety of ways, making them versatile wardrobe essentials. Twiss & Weber patterns also introduce knitters to an array of magnificent yarn and textures because creating beautiful, bold fabric is what Twiss and Weber do best.

New knitters and sewers will adore the fashionable projects and will be encouraged to learn more about their craft. While seasoned crafters will love the original attitude, the time-saving methods and concise language.  Twiss & Weber think creators shouldn’t need to understand complicated jargon in order to create gorgeous items, this has been their goal all-along.
